4 Ways to Clean Your Home In Half the Time

4 Ways to Clean Your Home In Half the Time

Are you a neat freak who loves to clean but somehow you end up spending an entire day doing it with little to no energy left to carry out your daily tasks? You’re not alone!

This happens to the best of us and can be one of the biggest reasons behind inefficient spring cleaning. We’re all always looking for ways to make sure we clean, organize and disinfect our homes and living spaces in less time, without compromising on the quality.

Here are ways you can get scrubbing this season and clean your home as quickly as possible!

Devise a system

Clean your home in the same order every time starting from the same room each day and working your way around the house according to a plan. This is the best way to both a) set a routine for cleaning your home so you don’t get to be lazy about it and b) come up with a plan that minimizes inefficiency.

For example, you start with the room that’s the furthest and work your way to the entrance of the house, so you make sure there’s no back and forth and you don’t carry dirt from dirty rooms to the clean one. Some people like to leave the kitchen and bathrooms for the end, but this is entirely up to you.

The main idea is to build a routine so that the more practice you have, the easier it becomes.

Use a feather duster

Use a feather duster

When you put off cleaning for a really long time, you end up with dirt build up in bedrooms and living rooms. This means it’s time to break out the big guns and power up the vacuum. But if you keep dusting blinds, surface tops, and corners regularly with a duster, you don’t have too much build up and don’t have to vacuum every day.

Cleaning the microwave

Most people don’t realize this, but you should clean your microwave at least once a week because it’s dirtier than you think. Here’s a quick tip to be able to do that.

Microwave a cup of water for a minute or long enough to make it close to boiling hot. The steam from the water is going to soften up any food buildup inside the microwave walls and its roof. Take a cloth and wipe it all down!

Pressure wash the outside

Most of the time we think about cleaning the inside of the home, but neglect the home exterior. However, when you’re spring cleaning, why not go big and make sure you get ALL the dirty parts? We recommend pressure washing services to get rid of all dirt, mold, grime build up from your driveway, patio, garage and other areas. It’s the most satisfying and time-efficient way to keep your home spotless!
